Welcome to the blog page for anyone that has ever been to ORCS – young or old, pupil, student or teacher!

This is a new place for ex-pupils to keep in touch with the school and let everyone know what you are doing now … this could be Y7 at secondary school, college or Uni, work, travelling or parenthood and for some even retirement!

Where are you now? What are you doing? How is school/college/Uni/work/life? Click on comments and add yours to let us know!

We will put a new thread on each half term to let you know what has happened at ORCS and please reply in comments with what you have been up to. All the staff, current pupils as well as your fellow ex-ORCS would love to know how you are and what you are doing! And spread the word!

Who will be the first ex-ORCS pupil to post a comment on this blog and start the ball rolling?

I finished the amazing ORCS in 2006, and was just thinking how 10 years ago today I was starting secondary school how fast time goes! …I owe so much to ORCS for where I am today. I went on to Reading girls school to get A*-C grades in my GCSEs and A* in my A levels. I am now In the final year of my journey to become a social worker.

When I do finally decide to have children of my own I will most definitely be sending them to ORCS!

Hi! I left year 6 this year and I’m at Reading Girls School. It’s really fun, but I miss everyone at orcs and wish the homework level at RGS was the same as it was at primary school. I also miss getting up at half past seven-I have to wake up at 6:30 for my new school! I have seen some of the older girls at reading girls who used to go to oxford road. As usual, I’m last on the register at my new school, however that is no surprise.

I really wish I could be back at Orcs. I was thinking about it today. My new school is ok but I think id rather be at Orcs! Less work it finishes at 3 not half three. It only takes me 5 minutes to get there. It takes half an hour to get to my new school! I also miss everyone!!! A lot! I must visit soon! I hope everyones well, Sara.
